Invitational Research Symposium on Technology Enhanced Assessments
May 7–8, 2012
Washington, D.C.
This Symposium explored current and emerging technologies designed to enhance the measurement, scoring, instructional value, and financial feasibility of next generation assessments. Leading experts presented original papers on topics including:
- Using technology to expand accessibility and assess hard-to-measure constructs in the Common Core State Standards or National Science Frameworks
- Designing simulations and serious games for assessment
- Integrating assessment with instruction to support learning
- Measuring problem-solving, creativity, communication and other cross-curricular 21st century skills within the Common Core
Our goal is to bring the field together to promote and advance a discussion about opportunities, challenges and solutions to improve K–12 assessment.
