Join the K-12 Center and the Alliance for Excellent Education for our 3rd webinar discussion with leaders of the PARCC and SBAC Consortia about their ongoing work and recent progress.

September 13, 2011 Discussion with Assessment Consortia Leaders The K–12 Center at ETS and The Alliance for Excellent Education met with leaders of the Consortia to discuss their on-going work. This session focused on the transition supports to be provided by each Consortium to assist states and districts as well as the proposed revisions to the PARCC design. Sue Gendron of SMARTER Balanced and Laura Slover of PARCC also responded to questions submitted by participants. April 4, 2011 Discussion with Assessment Consortia Leaders The K–12 Center at ETS and The Alliance for Excellent Education co-hosted a webinar on April 4 to consider the designs of the two state consortia — Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) and the SMARTER Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) — and how these designs address the various purposes they are expected to serve. Sue Gendron of SBAC and Laura Slover of PARCC also responded to questions submitted by participants. (90 minutes)
March 10, 2011 Through-Course Summative Assessments: Measurement Challenges, Choices, and Trade-Offs Within the Comprehensive Assessment Consortia Design The Center for K–12 Assessment & Performance Management at ETS (K–12 Center) and The Alliance for Excellent Education co-hosted a webinar on March 10 to discuss some of the most salient measurement challenges associated with the use of through-course summative assessments. Some of the nation's leading measurement experts discussed issues such as scaling, linking and reporting; aggregating results from through-course assessments; and interpretations of student growth over time.
