Through-Course Summative Assessments — Invitational Research Symposium Publications
February 10–11, 2011
Atlanta, GA
This two-day event was organized by the K–12 Center, and co-sponsored by ETS and 18 other testing companies and organizations. More than 100 state and national leaders and assessment experts engaged in exploration of the measurement challenges presented by the through-course summative assessments and potential solutions to those challenges (see Research Symposium Agenda below). Two panels of state and national policymakers offered their thoughts regarding the development of this new generation of assessments based on common standards for college and career readiness.
